So we are reviewed the group requirements for joining the GPUUG and it's become apparent that we have members here who have never crunched any work and/or not a member of the Seti@home group.

If you look at the rules for having joined this group, you will see that those are 2 of the requirements. Emails will be going out to all members that fail to comply with either of those 2 rules. You will be asked to give a good reason as to why you should remain with the group. If no response is given, you will be removed from the group. We will be giving a 2 week window in which to reply.

I've heard from 3 people so far. Since they have express interest in crunching for this project, I will be keeping them in the group. Also, since the project appears to not have any work available for the last week and half, we will be delaying removal of any personal.

Once work becomes more readily available for all members, we will revisit the rolls of members to see who is and who hasn't crunched any work.

Happy Crunching......

I managed to snag a long-run a couple of days ago for the other Ryzen I put onto the project. There were about 700 tasks available for about 5 minutes, then poof! All grabbed and gone.

Yeah I just snagged 8 work units so it's possible for people to get some and crunch them...

Popped in here briefly from Seti and saw 20 LR tasks available. Got one on the Linux system and 2 on the Windows10 system. If they validate, that will get me up to the magic 11 threshold where APR stabilizes.

Going to start cleaning out the group. Those that responded to the email will stay.

Done. Only 3 people responded to the Email I send out over a month ago. Those 3 gave reasons why they should be left in the group. As such, they remain. For now the group remains closed. If anyone knows someone that wants to join us and will be active in this project, PM to open the group for them.

Got it. If the data shortage persists at Seti, I am sure I can convince others to join the effort here. Some resist the suggestion of Einstein for backup project for instance. I have mentioned a few times that the available work here has been improving especially this week. Much better than when I started in December.

Glad to get a working app for Linux again too.

Since Seti is going away, I feel the requirement for a person to crunch Seti as part of the GPUUG at Seti should be phased out as well. After next month, that part will be removed from this groups description.

Now that I have taken over as Founder of the group from Zalster, I want to do another review of the team membership. It has been a while now.

There seems to be sufficient work being generated by the current researcher.

Again, the team requirement was to have started originally at Seti and then moved over to Einstein with Seti in hiatus. Most of the original Seti crunchers migrated to Einstein gpu work.

I will be sending out the email shortly asking members if they want to stay.

Since Team messaging is not enabled here I am resorting to posting the Team message here in the hopes that Team members regularly visit this project and Team Forum.

So we are reviewing the group requirements for joining the GPUUG and maintaining good standing in the team by contributing to the team's credit totals. It is expected that the member be reporting work at at least one project.

Emails will be going out to all members asking whether you would like to remain in the GPUUG at this project. It is expected that you are currently reporting work for this project, even if is sporadic in the situations that you move your hosts around regularly among projects. If you haven't contacted this project and returned work in a long while you will be pruned from the membership list.

You will be asked to give a good reason as to why you should remain with the group even if you have not reported work lately as in the case of this project being a backup project to your main Team project. Simply explain that this project is a backup project and you would like to remain in the Team.

If no response is given, you will be removed from the group. We will be giving a 2 week window in which to reply.

I am a little late replying, but I would like to stay on as I like this as a backup project. :)
