Took the time to get YDL 6.1 running on my PS3 today and connected to the internet via wifi. Not easy for a Linux noob, but it seems to work. I got BOINC installed and running, and attached to SETI and GPUgrid. GPUgrid gives me work, SETI does not. The version of BOINC seems to be rather dated sy version 5.10.6. Would any updates have to come from gpugrid.net since this is specialized BOINC client? PowerPC linux BOINC client development seems limited to right here, but I could be wrong.

Guess cuz no problems. I have been running 2 ps3's for a long time without a hitch( my guess is 4 months) I put yd on em and not a problem. My backup for ps3grid is YOYO at home.

As far as i am aware SETI don't support the PS3. Only GPUGrid and YoYo@Home

How long does the average PS3 WU unit take? The estimated completion timer and % completed column doesn't seem to work correctly and my PS3 has been crunching on its current WU for 18 hours. The initial estimate was 42 hours, is that accurate?

My PS3 usually takes about 19.5 hours real time with boinc manager thinking it takes 23 hours.

As far as i am aware SETI don't support the PS3. Only GPUGrid and YoYo@Home SETI@Home runs just fine on the PS3. You just have to download the ported versions from http://www.dotsch.de/boinc/Home.html.
